Hi, I'm Amelia.
I'm a qualified career coach who has spent ten years in business support, and still works in it today. I help people who are good at their job work out what they actually want next, then go after it.

My story
I left school partway through sixth form and started a business administration apprenticeship. I didn't have a grand plan. I just said yes to the opportunities in front of me, and before long I was supporting chief executives, principals, head teachers and senior leaders, first in the NHS and then in education.
So I know what it is to run a diary that isn't your own, to shape a week entirely around other people's priorities, and to hold it all together with a quiet competence nobody really notices. I was good at it, and I still am. But I also know how easily your own career becomes the one nobody thinks to manage.
Over time, I noticed that the part I valued most wasn't the organising or the problem-solving. It was helping people feel steadier, clearer and more confident in themselves. Then, during a period of personal change, I found myself asking some honest questions. What matters to me now? What do I want the next chapter to look like? Where am I holding myself back?
I reached out for support and experienced coaching for myself. It gave me the space to reconnect with what I valued and what I wanted to build next, and it changed the direction of my life. I started supporting others more intentionally: mentoring colleagues, helping people settle into new roles, and volunteering in schools. When I was offered a management qualification, I chose to train as a coach instead, and I qualified in 2026.
Now I help people do what coaching helped me do: step back, work out what they actually want, and go after it.
How I coach
“Understand what brought you here.
Take what you need from it.
Decide what happens next.”
My coaching combines thoughtful reflection, solution-focused methods and practical action. Together, they help you make sense of where you are, work out where you want to go, and take meaningful steps forward.
Reflection
Step back and make sense of where you are, and how you got here.
Solution-focused
Focus on what you want, what's already working, and what progress looks like.
Action
Turn what you've learned into meaningful next steps.
Why it matters to me
Coaching is often reserved for people at the very top of organisations. I believe it should be available much earlier. I started out as an apprentice, and I know the difference the right conversation at the right time can make. That's why I work with people at every stage of their career, not just those with “executive” in their job title.
“Amelia's openness and non-judgemental approach always made me feel completely comfortable.”

A bit more about me
Away from work, I'm happiest outdoors, and a walk in the countryside is my idea of a good day. I'm a big animal lover and share my home with a mini dachshund and a tortoise, and I'm rarely without a book on the go.
