Hi, I'm Amelia

I spent years as an Executive Assistant, so I know what it is to be the person everyone relies on.

I know what it is to run a diary that isn’t your own, to shape a week entirely around other people’s priorities, and to hold all of that together with a quiet competence nobody really notices. I also know how easily your own career becomes the one nobody thinks to manage.

I’m now an accredited coach with the Association for Coaching, and I work with the people I used to work alongside.

My path into coaching hasn’t been a straight line.

For much of my life I followed paths that looked right from the outside, while quietly knowing there was something more I wanted from my work.

My career was built in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, supporting senior leaders and keeping complicated work moving. My role was often to create space for others, helping them think clearly, stay focused, manage competing demands and move forward with confidence. I was good at it, and I found real purpose in it.

Over time I began to notice that the part I valued most wasn’t the organising or the problem-solving. It was helping people feel steadier, clearer and more confident in themselves.

Then I reached a point where I had to ask myself some honest questions

What matters to me now?

What do I want the next chapter of my life to look like?

Where am I giving my energy, and where am I holding myself back?

During a period of personal change I reached out for support and experienced coaching for myself. It gave me space to reconnect with who I was, what I valued, and what I wanted to build next. That experience changed the direction of my life.

I started supporting others more intentionally, mentoring colleagues, helping people settle into new roles, and volunteering in schools. In time that led me to train and qualify as a coach.

Why I coach support professionals

Most careers come with an obvious next rung. Ours doesn’t.

You can be excellent at this job for years without anyone ever sitting you down and asking what you want from it. Much of what you do is difficult to put on paper, which makes it hard to argue for a pay rise, hard to describe in an appraisal, and hard to explain when you’re quietly wondering whether to move on.

That isn’t a personal failing. It’s a gap in how the profession is built, and it’s the gap I work in.

Executive Assistants, Personal Assistants, Office Managers and Business Support Professionals are some of the most capable people I have ever worked with. They are also the least likely to have had anyone give them the attention they give everyone else. That is what I am here to change.
